Baked Five Spice Chicken

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon five spice powder
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Chinese rice wine
  • 6 bone in, skin on chicken thighs
Instructions
Marinate the chicken:
  1. In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, salt, five spice, garlic, oil and Chinese rice wine. Mix to combine. Place chicken a plastic zip top bag and pour the marinade over the chicken. Massage the chicken so that the chicken is well coated in the marinade. Place in refrigerator overnight.
Bake the chicken:
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F. Line a baking pan with aluminum foil. Place the chicken in a single layer on the baking pan. Bake the chicken for 40 minutes, or until it is thoroughly cooked, and has reached an internal temperature of 165 F,
  2. Serve immediately.
